Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and the only personal information you give us is what you type into the contact form.
This policy explains what information Chain & Charge(“we”) collects when you visit the site, and how we use it. It applies to chainandcharge.com. Last updated July 23, 2026.
Information we collect
Contact form. If you use our contact form, you provide your name, email address, and message. We use these only to read and reply to your message. We don’t add you to a marketing list.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which links are clicked — in aggregate. This uses cookies and similar technology and collects data such as your approximate location, device and browser. It helps us decide what to write next. Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
Affiliate links. When you click a product link, you’re taken to a retailer (usually Amazon) through a redirect that adds our affiliate tag. The retailer may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. We don’t receive your name, address or payment details from those purchases — only aggregate commission reporting.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and reliability. Our contact form also uses your IP address transiently to rate-limit spam submissions; it is not stored long-term.
How we use information
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To understand and improve which content is useful (analytics).
- To earn affiliate commissions that fund the site.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Cookies are used by our analytics and by the retailers we link to. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though analytics won’t count your visit. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal, which we honor where technically supported.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (which, for most visitors, is nothing beyond a contact-form message). To make a request, email info@chainandcharge.comand we’ll respond.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The “last updated” date above will reflect any revision. Material changes will be posted here.
